Q. What is included with the cabin?

A. All linens, bath towels, wash cloths, dish towels, dish cloths, dishwashing liquid & or dishwasher liquid. All cooking and eating utensils (pots, pans, baking sheets, skillets). All cabins have microwave, coffee pot, toaster, blender or mixer. We do ask that you bring beach towels to use at the lake and not take the house towels to the lake.

Q. What type of toiletries do you provide?

A. A starter pack of the following items are placed in every cabin: toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap and dishwashing liquid.

Q. What is check in and out times?

A. Check in is at 3pm and check out is at 10 am. Earlier and later times for check in and out are available for an additional cost.

Q. Are there any smoking cabins?

A. NO, All of our cabins are non-smoking cabins. There are smoking areas outside at all cabins.

Q. Do you allow pets in any of your cabins?

A. We do not allow pets in any of our cabins

Q. Do you make exceptions to your no pet policy?

A. No. There are no exceptions to this policy. We have a child with allergy induced asthma who is severely allergic to animals, therefore we do not make any exceptions and this rule is strictly enforced.

Q. What is needed to make a reservation?

A. We require a deposit of (1) one nights rental to reserve, this becomes your security deposit. Please see our rental policy link for more information.

Q. Do you have internet?

A. We do not provide internet service at this time, but are considering for the future

Q. What does seasonal lake frontage mean?

A. Both of our cabins have year round lake views. Season Lake frontage happens when the TVA lowers the lake in the winter for flood control. During the winter the water is only accessible from a distance. During the summer it is normally accessible at each dock. Q. How large is the lake?

A. Douglas Lake is a 33,000 acre reservoir with over 550 miles of shoreline.

Q. Are there boat rentals on the lake or can we bring our own boat?

A. Yes, you can bring our own boat. There are also several Marinas located on the lake where you can rent boats and other watercraft. Both of our lake cabins have launch areas and boat docks.

Q. Does the cabin have a private dock?

A. Yes, both cabins have a private dock and launch area. This information can be found directly on each cabin’s information page.

Q. Is there room to park my trailer?

A. Yes, you have room to park your trailer on site

Q. Is there power to the boat dock?

A. No, Cozy Cove has a gazebo that does have power close to the dock. This information can be found on the cabin information page.

Q. How far away is the closest marina?

A. By vehicle the closest marina is 1.2 miles away. By boat the closest marina is less than one mile.

Q. Where are the cabins located at in relation to Dollywood, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg?

A. Both lake cabins are located in the Flat Creek area on the south side of the lake. They are approximately 15 to 20 minutes from Pigeon Forge and Dollywood. Gatlinburg is approximately 40 minutes away from the cabins.

Q. Can you fish in this lake and is a license required?

A. Yes, there is some great fishing on Douglas Lake. There are several species of fish. A license is required for fishing. You can visit this website to get more detailed information about licenses and requirements @ http://www.state.tn.us/twra/fish/fishmain.html . There is a market on your way to our cabin which sells TN fishing licenses.
